The George Hotel, South Molton

An al fresco dining solution for The George Hotel, located in the heart of the historic market town of South Molton. This inviting, enclosed terrace was created using a series of interconnected, bespoke wooden planters positioned within the town's central paved area.

The layout provides a safe, welcoming space for bistro tables and chairs, allowing hotel guests to enjoy the North Devon sunshine while being looked after by the hotel's friendly staff. Structurally, the planters are anchored by architectural evergreen box balls and rosemary for year-round interest. Around these structural features, vibrant seasonal bedding displays are rotated twice a year, bringing a burst of color that is thoroughly enjoyed by visitors and the local community alike.
