Contemporary Garden, Bovey Tracey

Contemporary garden for an active retired couple just moved into their brand new house in Bovey Tracey, on the edge of Dartmoor. A completely walled garden gave them a sheltered private space to start with. Adding three terraces gave us the opportunity to create level spaces in an otherwise sloping garden.

Creating easy to maintain, usable spaces for relaxing outside with tables and chairs. Adding interest with wide steps, large planters and tall plants. With lawn on the lower terrace, the upper terraces are a mix of large natural stone pavers and compacted gravel. With planting directly into the compacted gravel to soften the hardscape. Mediterranean planting around semi-mature olive trees, completes the look.
