Country Garden, Crediton

Sun terrace re-design for a large country garden in rural Mid Devon. Including new surrounding planting, paths, kitchen garden and a new set of steps up to the main lawn.

Designing really wide stone steps with large treads and shallow risers gave the scale needed to sit comfortably in such a large landscape. It also created an easy to use transition out from the large terrace area to the wider garden and property as a whole. And also leading out to the new firepit designed with bespoke circular wooden benches fixed into the ground.

This garden also required a re-design of the front garden, driveway and turning circle; paths and planting leading to the front door. Here a simple large geometric design with symmetry worked well both for practicality of use and visual impact.
