Contemporary Garden, Barnstaple

A contemporary garden in North Devon designed for a couple seeking a stylish outdoor space for modern living. The main brief was to seamlessly link the open-plan indoor living area with the garden for relaxing and entertaining.

By using materials that mirror and complement the brand-new home, the outdoor living space flows effortlessly from the inside. Bold lines, clean geometry, and painted rendered raised planters double as low retaining walls to gently terrace the sloping site. This layout creates large, usable areas for seating while showcasing tall, striking planting for a bold and sophisticated look.
