Cottage Garden, Chulmleigh

Cottage garden designed for a couple living in a period property typical of villages in rural North Devon. South facing with great views over to the wider rural landscape, the garden needed to fit in with the local area.

They wanted a garden that both suited their busy lifestyle while still maintaining the character of their home and the surrounding village. Plenty of space to enjoy the South facing aspect; flanked by flowering herbaceous borders and a small easy to maintain lawn. With a path leading to the front door, the garden needed to have a strong, well defined design for all year interest. With the traditional mixed stone paving and brick edging, softened by the Summer season planting.
